San Diego Comic-Con 2025: Collider’s “Directors on Directing” Panel with Rob Reiner and Paul Feig

It’s almost the happiest time of the year for fandoms — time to return to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC)! With less than a month before the San Diego Convention Center opens its doors, it’s essential to plan your weekend wisely. On Thursday, July 24 at 2:45 p.m., Collider’s editor-in-chief Steve Weintraub will host a special panel featuring acclaimed directors Rob Reiner and Paul Feig.
This “Directors on Directing” panel offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at blockbuster filmmaking from two Hollywood visionaries. Attendees will hear stories from past projects, learn about upcoming films, and enjoy exclusive footage and surprises.

Rob Reiner launched his career in front of the camera with roles in The Andy Griffith Show and All in the Family, before directing cult classics such as This Is Spinal Tap, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, and Misery. Currently, Reiner is working on the sequel Spinal Tap II, continuing the legacy of the groundbreaking mockumentary.
Paul Feig started as an actor before creating the cult-favorite TV series Freaks and Geeks. He rose to fame as a comedic filmmaker with hits like Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy, and Ghostbusters (2016). Feig is now in post-production on the thriller The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, and Brandon Sklenar.
