Ben Affleck & Matt Damon’s Artists Equity Names Amy Baer President of Film & TV

Artists Equity, the artist-led studio founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has appointed veteran producer and executive Amy Baer as President of Film & Television.
Amy Baer’s Track Record
With a career spanning more than two decades, Amy Baer has been behind films that have grossed over $2 billion worldwide. She is the founder of Gidden Media, producing acclaimed titles such as the double Oscar-nominated The Apprentice, Last Vegas, Mary Shelley, and Brian Banks, as well as executive producing the Netflix hit Purple Hearts.
Before Gidden Media, Baer spent 17 years at Sony Pictures, where she was instrumental in shepherding films like Moneyball, The Pursuit of Happyness, Adaptation, Something’s Gotta Give, and The Holiday. She also launched CBS Films, serving as its President and CEO for four years, and more recently led Landline Pictures, overseeing productions like Jerry & Marge Go Large and the upcoming comedy The Best Is Yet to Come.
Role at Artists Equity
In her new position, Baer will oversee the studio’s film and TV slate, reporting directly to Ben Affleck, Co-Founder & CEO, and Dillon West, COO. The studio recently struck a three-year partnership with Sony Pictures, which will finance and distribute its projects globally.

Industry Impact
Baer is a member of AMPAS, PGA, Film Independent, and SAG, and recently concluded a six-year term as Board President of Women in Film. A passionate advocate for industry diversity and sustainability, she also teaches as a Visiting Lecturer at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts.
