‘All American’ Renewed for Final Season, Closing an Era at The CW

The CW Renews “All American” for Eighth and Final Season
The CW has officially renewed its hit drama series All American for an eighth and final season, set to air during the 2025-26 television season. The final season will consist of 13 episodes, bringing the show’s total to 132 episodes over eight seasons, making it one of the longest-running scripted series in The CW’s history.
Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions, and led by showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, the series will conclude its impactful storylines while giving fans a meaningful farewell to the beloved characters and compelling world.
Brad Schwartz, President of The CW, said:
“All American is one of the greatest shows in The CW’s history, and we are honored to bring it back for a final season to give fans the chance to say goodbye to these inspiring characters. Season seven introduced exciting new characters alongside fan favorites, which resonated deeply with viewers. We look forward to the emotion, heart, and magic that Nkechi Okoro Carroll and the creative team will deliver in closing this chapter.”
Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll shared her gratitude:
“It’s hard to put into words the love and appreciation I feel for this show, its fans, cast, crew, and producers. Saying goodbye is difficult, but we’re thrilled to finish the story the way we envisioned. Thanks to everyone at Warner Bros., The CW, Berlanti Productions, and especially Spencer Paysinger, whose life inspired this journey. To all the viewers who embraced Spencer James’s mantra, ‘Dream Big. Stay Real.’ — we salute you.”
All American is the last remaining scripted series on The CW from the era when the network was jointly owned by Warner Bros. and CBS. After a majority stake was sold to Nexstar in 2022, the network’s programming shifted towards unscripted shows, sports, and co-productions with Canadian networks.
