American Gladiators Reboot Unveils New Lineup on Prime Video

The iconic American Gladiators franchise is back with a powerful new reboot, set to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The revamped series introduces 16 new gladiators—eight men and eight women—ranging in age from 22 to 38 and hailing from across the United States. The cast includes an elite mix of bodybuilders, CrossFit champions, professional wrestlers, Division I athletes, and military veterans.
Hosting the new season is WWE superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin. He will be joined by sideline reporter Rocsi Diaz, known for co-hosting BET’s 106 & Park, and sports commentator Chris Rose, who currently anchors NFL GameDay Final on NFL Network.
Rocsi Diaz is also a contributor for GMA and GMA3, and co-hosts Tubi’s We Got Time Today alongside Deion Sanders. Her past hosting roles include MTV’s Ridiculousness and Fox’s Alter Ego.
Joining The Miz are five professional wrestlers, serving as enforcers in the competition:
-
Eric Bugenhagen (aka Rick Boogs)
-
Michael Wardlow (aka Wardlow)
-
Jessie Godderz (aka Mr. PEC-Tacular)
-
Jessica Roden (aka The Ultimate Athlete, J-Rod)
-
Kailey Latimer (aka Kamille)
The inclusion of professional wrestlers adds high-octane energy and on-camera charisma. Their physical presence and stage skills are a perfect fit for the show’s demanding format.
Barry Poznick, general manager of MGM Alternative, Evolution Media, and Big Fish Entertainment, emphasized the rigorous casting process:
“The original Gladiators were iconic, so our search for the new Gladiators had to be exhaustive. We traveled nationwide, meeting thousands of fitness influencers and athletes to find the highest caliber of competitors. Each Gladiator represents what it means to be a modern warrior—relentless, inspiring, and ready for the challenge of a lifetime.”
The reboot will introduce exciting new challenges while preserving fan-favorite classics like Gauntlet, Hang Tough, and The Eliminator. For nostalgic fans, the original series is now available on the new American Gladiators FAST channel on Prime Video FAST.
