Lithuania to Premiere Local Adaptation of Hit Hidden-Camera Show Impractical Jokers

The popular hidden-camera prank show Impractical Jokers is being adapted for Lithuania’s TV3 network as a 24-episode series, with production set to begin later this year. The deal was confirmed at the Eastern European content event NEM in Dubrovnik, Croatia, marking another international expansion of the format originally created by comedy troupe The Tenderloins.
Format Overview and International Success
The show features four friends challenging each other with outrageous dares designed to embarrass the participants, from eating food off strangers’ plates to awkward speed-dating moments. The losing team member in each episode faces a final punishment. Since its debut on TruTV, Impractical Jokers has aired 11 seasons and over 300 episodes, spawning numerous international versions in countries including the UK, Greece, Mexico, Sweden, and Australia.
Lithuanian Cast and Production Details
The Lithuanian adaptation will feature comedians Antanas Sadauskas, Markas Žukauskas, Simanas Žurauskas, and Viktoras Balykovas — all known for their wit, cultural contributions, and strong social media presence.
Arvydas Rimas, Creative Director at TV3 Group, stated: “Impractical Jokers is the gold standard of hidden camera prank shows. We’re thrilled to bring this iconic format to Lithuania with four of the country’s most popular comedians.”
TV3 previously adapted Warner Bros International Television Production’s (WBITVP) Celebrity Splash, alongside local versions of global hits like X Factor and Got Talent.
Global Appeal and Future Prospects
André Renaud, Global VP of Format & Finished Sales at WBITVP, added: “Impractical Jokers is evergreen, adaptable, and fun to produce. Its themes of friendship and playfulness resonate globally, and we’re excited to see Lithuania’s unique take on the show.”
WBITVP continues to expand its international footprint, recently strengthening its leadership with executives from major broadcasters such as BBC Studios.
