Canon Releases Important Firmware Updates for EOS C400 and EOS C80 with Enhanced Security and RAW Playback Features

Firmware updates may not be as exciting as new cameras, but they play a crucial role in enhancing the performance and usability of devices you already own. The latest significant update comes from Canon, which has announced important firmware updates for the popular Canon EOS C400 and EOS C80 cameras.

These updates focus on improving security features, enabling new functionality, and enhancing RAW clip playback capabilities, making them valuable for current owners of these cameras.

Other enhancements include:

  • Playback of RAW clips in Media mode with Lens corrections, such as Distortion Aberration Correction.

  • Addition of the [Track after Focusing] function.

  • Improved display options on [DISP Level 2], showing Recording Format, Main Resolution, Sensor Mode, Digital IS, and Gamma/Color Space Level (Numeric).

  • A usability improvement to the [Pause Digital IS] function toggling on/off with each button press.

  • Fixes for minor issues to improve overall camera stability.
