Sean “Diddy” Combs Faces Life in Prison as Donald Trump Hints at Possible Pardon

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a potentially life-altering sentence as his sex trafficking and racketeering trial continues in New York. However, former President Donald Trump has hinted that he might consider a pardon — under certain conditions.
Trump’s Response: “I’d Look at the Facts”
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump responded to a question about Combs’ trial, saying:
“I would certainly look at the facts if I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me.”
He emphasized that no official request for a pardon has been made yet but added:
“I know people are thinking about it. I think people have been very close to asking.”
Serious Charges Against Combs
Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, is currently on trial in lower Manhattan on a range of charges including:
-
Racketeering
-
Sex trafficking
-
Transportation to engage in prostitution
Testimony has been damning. A former personal assistant known only as “Mia” accused Combs of multiple sexual assaults, echoing earlier claims made by ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Ventura described years of abuse, manipulation, and so-called “freak-offs” — disturbing orgies reportedly orchestrated by Combs and filmed without consent.
Mia also recounted witnessing Combs physically and emotionally abuse others in his circle, painting a picture of long-term, systemic misconduct.
Trump and Combs: A Fractured Relationship
Trump, while suggesting openness to a possible pardon, distanced himself from Combs personally:
“I haven’t spoken to him in years. He used to really like me, but when I ran for politics, that relationship busted up.”
Press Conference Chaos: Trump and Musk Take the Stage
The conversation took place during a wide-ranging Oval Office press event also featuring Elon Musk, who is concluding his controversial role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk, wearing a “Dogefather” T-shirt and MAGA hat, stood beside Trump as the two made bold and often questionable claims about federal spending, the 2020 election, and alleged budget savings.
Musk reiterated that DOGE “saved” the U.S. government over $1 trillion, a number financial analysts say is greatly exaggerated. The actual figure is likely closer to $16 billion, with some projections showing Trump’s broader plans adding over $5 trillion to the national deficit.
