Corus Entertainment Unveils 2025/26 Slate Featuring Peacock and Sky Series

Corus Entertainment Doubles Down on Peacock Content for 2025/26

Corus Entertainment has announced a robust lineup for its 2025/26 season, leveraging its long-standing content partnership with Peacock and Sky, both under the NBCUniversal umbrella. The Canadian broadcaster will showcase a slate of highly anticipated titles across its networks W Network and Showcase, with StackTV also set to carry all the upcoming content.

The official reveal took place during Corus’s Specialty Upfront presentation in Canada.

What’s Coming to Showcase?

Corus’s Showcase channel will host several high-profile dramas and comedies:

  • The Paper: A spinoff of The Office, created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, starring Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus).

  • The Copenhagen Test: A gripping espionage thriller starring Simu Liu, about an intelligence analyst whose brain is hacked, granting access to everything he sees and hears.

  • Ponies: A Cold War-era spy drama starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson. The story follows two overlooked embassy workers who become CIA operatives after their husbands die mysteriously in the USSR.

  • Amadeus: A Sky-produced limited series starring Will Sharpe and Paul Bettany, exploring the early life of the iconic composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

  • Ted (NBC comedy) and its upcoming animated spinoff.

  • Bel-Air Season 4.

W Network Targets Female Viewers

The female-oriented W Network has picked up several dramatic titles, including:

Additional Programming Across Corus Brands

  • Hallmark Channel offerings continue with shows like Celebrations with Lacey Chabert.

  • Underdogs, a natural history documentary narrated by Ryan Reynolds.

  • Flavour Network introduces Halloween Bakeshop and Holiday Bakeshop, hosted by Lauren Ash.

  • Home Network features Building Baeumler, the latest home-renovation series from Bryan and Sarah Baeumler.

Private Eyes Returns with a West Coast Spin-Off

Corus is also gearing up for Private Eyes West Coast, one of Canada’s most anticipated series, set to premiere on the Global network.

A Strategic Move Amid Financial Challenges

Despite financial headwinds and recent staff reductions, Corus Entertainment is moving forward with an ambitious content strategy. The company recently raised C$500 million ($365M) through an unsecured notes offering to help reduce its outstanding debt. Last year, Bloomberg reported that Corus engaged Jefferies Financial Group to explore a potential sale.

Jennifer Abrams, SVP of Programming and Multiplatform, commented:

“Our 2025/26 slate raises the bar once again—with high-profile new series, must-see returning hits, and a curated mix of content across our brands and platforms.”
