Meagan Good Stars in Lifetime’s Terry McMillan Presents: Forever — A Powerful Story of Love, Loss, and Healing

Actress Meagan Good shares heartfelt insights about her role in the Lifetime movie Terry McMillan Presents: Forever, where she portrays Carlie, a resilient police officer, cancer survivor, and single mother of two. In the film, Carlie finds hope and a second chance at love through her relationship with Johnnie, played by Taye Diggs, a military veteran whose support helps her rediscover connection and healing.

Good reflects on how the role resonated deeply with her personal life. “My father was LAPD for 26 years,” she reveals. “I had recently gone through a divorce, and I am in a space where I want to be a mother. Also, my uncle passed away from cancer.” This blend of personal experience and character journey inspired Good to portray Carlie with strength and authenticity, aiming to empower women to embrace love and life’s challenges unapologetically.

Reuniting with Taye Diggs added a meaningful dimension to the film. The two previously worked together on the TV series Kevin Hill. Good describes Diggs as “a wonderful burst of light and energy” and praises his ability to balance heavy drama with warmth and optimism.
