Hunter Biden Slams George Clooney Over Criticism of President Joe Biden

Hunter Biden did not hold back in a recent interview when asked about George Clooney’s public critique of his father, President Joe Biden.
In 2023, Clooney wrote an op-ed in The New York Times titled “I Love Joe Biden, But We Need a New Nominee,” in which he called on the then-president to step down from the 2024 election race, citing concerns about his mental fitness and declining public presence. The article gained national attention and stirred controversy within the Democratic Party.
According to Jake Tapper’s book, Clooney was reportedly “startled” by President Biden’s behavior at a fundraiser, where the president appeared “severely diminished” and failed to recognize Clooney. It was claimed that the president had to be reminded who Clooney was, prompting concerns about his cognitive state.
During an extensive conversation with Andrew Callaghan for Channel 5, Hunter Biden challenged this narrative head-on. He dismissed the story, saying:
“Here’s what [Clooney] said. He said that the president needed to be introduced to him at a fundraiser that he was ostensibly the host of. There’s this gigantic fundraiser in which George Clooney wasn’t really the host. He was the entertainment. God bless him… But this story is completely out of context.”
Hunter went on to describe the standard procedure at such events, explaining that a staff aide is always present to announce names before individuals approach the president — regardless of their prior relationship. He noted:
“You may have met the president 15 times, but that aide’s job is to say: ‘Mr. President, George Clooney and Julia Roberts.’ And now Clooney wants to use that moment to justify his effort to undermine the most legislatively successful Democratic president in decades.”
Hunter Biden further alleged that Clooney’s criticism was motivated by a personal issue involving Clooney’s wife, Amal Clooney, a prominent human rights lawyer who was reportedly involved in drafting an international arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu. When President Biden responded that he would not support executing such a warrant if Netanyahu visited the U.S., Clooney was allegedly furious, and texted White House staff expressing his anger.
“I saw the text messages,” Hunter claimed. “He kept promising that he was going to embarrass the president and pull out of the fundraiser.”

When asked about a rumor that Clooney had once influenced Jack Black’s political stance, Hunter responded with harsh words:
“F–k him. F–k him and everybody around him. I don’t have to be f–king nice.”
Hunter also criticized Clooney’s celebrity status:
“I agree with Quentin Tarantino — George Clooney is not a f–king actor. He’s a brand. He treats his friends well, sure, and has a nice place in Lake Como. But what gives him the right to attack a man who’s given 52 years of public service?”
Hunter concluded by pointing out that Republicans appear more unified, while high-profile Democrats like Clooney are weakening the party from within.
“Why do I have to f–king listen to you? What right do you have to step on a man who’s dedicated his life to this country, just to run a full-page attack in The New York Times?”
