Paige DeSorbo Explains Sudden Absence on Love Island USA Amid Heat-Related Health Scare

Paige DeSorbo recently opened up about her sudden absence on Love Island USA, explaining the health challenges she faced during filming. The 32-year-old Summer House star appeared on the Peacock dating show on June 15 to host the “Got Wood?” challenge, but had to step away partway through the game due to feeling unwell.
On her Giggly Squad podcast, Paige detailed the events leading up to her unexpected exit. She described arriving on set feeling like an athlete, ready to work despite the intense heat. However, after about two hours of filming in a full suede skirt under the scorching sun, she began feeling queasy and eventually had to take a break, even vomiting in the bathroom.
Despite efforts by the crew to shield her with umbrellas and provide ice packs, Paige’s high pain tolerance couldn’t keep her going. After attempting to continue for a short time, she had to stop again due to worsening symptoms and eventually passed out on set. Medical staff took her blood pressure and advised her to rest, leading to her decision not to finish the challenge.
Paige shared how her strong work ethic made it difficult to admit she couldn’t continue, but her mother’s voice in her head reminded her of the serious risks of fainting and injury, especially being far from home in Fiji.
