2025 Emmy Nominations Announced: 35 First-Time Acting Nominees Shine

The 77th Emmy Awards nominations for 2025 were unveiled, spotlighting a remarkable 35 first-time acting nominees including industry veterans and rising stars like Harrison Ford, Kristen Bell, Colin Farrell, and newcomers Owen Cooper and Aimee Lou Wood.

Historic Youngest Nominee: Owen Cooper

Owen Cooper made history as the youngest nominee ever for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited/Anthology Series or TV Movie for his role in Netflix’s Adolescence. If he wins, he will become the youngest male acting Emmy winner ever.

Netflix’s Adolescence Dominates

With 13 nominations, Adolescence is a standout, earning nods for Stephen Graham (Best Actor in a Limited Series), Erin Doherty and Christine Tremarco (Best Supporting Actress), and Ashley Walters (first-time nominee).

Harrison Ford’s First Emmy Nomination

Ford received his first Emmy nod for portraying Dr. Paul Rhoades in Apple TV+’s comedy Shrinking, joining co-star Michael Urie in the Best Supporting Comedy Actor category.

Strong Showing for The White Lotus and The Studio

The White Lotus earned 23 nominations, including first-time nods for Aimee Lou Wood (Best Supporting Drama Actress), Scott Glenn, and Jason Isaacs.
Meanwhile, The Studio led with multiple first-time acting noms for Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, Anthony Mackie, and Zoë Kravitz.
