On June 18, 2025, jurors acquitted Karen Read of second-degree murder charges in the killing of police officer John O’Keefe but found her guilty of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
Read’s retrial, highly publicized and following her initial 2024 trial, was the focus of Investigation Discovery’s docuseries A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read. The five-episode true crime series first aired in March 2025 and is available to stream on-demand.
