How to Watch Outlander: Blood of My Blood – Cast, Plot & Streaming Guide

While Outlander’s eighth and final season won’t arrive until early 2026, fans can enjoy the new spinoff series, Blood of My Blood, to discover the untold story of Jamie and Claire’s parents.

Premiering today on Starz, Outlander: Blood of My Blood follows Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield), a brilliant clerk who falls in love with Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) during World War I. Meanwhile, in 1714 Scotland, Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) fall in love instantly, despite belonging to rival families. The two timelines intertwine when Julia and Henry are separated in Scotland by a mysterious twist of fate.

THR critic Angie Han describes the series as “richly imagined, audaciously epic, and deeply romantic,” praising its ability to capture the magic of the original show while carving its own unique path. Although it’s a prequel, the series works perfectly as a standalone drama that focuses more on the characters’ chaotic present than their predetermined futures.
