Prime Video Italy Reveals 2025 Slate Featuring NBA Finals, The Traitors Italia, and New Original Series

Prime Video Italy unveiled its exciting 2025 content slate in Rome, featuring a range of exclusive sports, original series, and movies. The event attracted notable Italian stars including Michela Andreozzi, Stefano Cipani, Christian De Sica, and Diana Del Bufalo, alongside best-selling author Felicia Kingsley and acclaimed U.S. filmmaker Jessica Yu.

A major highlight is the NBA Finals, which will be available exclusively on Prime Video in Italy starting June 2026, as part of an 11-year global media rights agreement beginning October 2025.

Marco Foroni, Business Lead Sports of Prime Video Italy, confirmed Italian fans will enjoy 87 exclusive regular season NBA games, including the Emirates NBA Cup Knockout Round games, the entire postseason NBA Play-In tournament, and a significant share of the NBA Playoffs and Conference Finals. Notably, the NBA Finals will be broadcast on Prime Video for 6 out of 11 years.

Prime Video Italy will also continue to air the UEFA Champions League through the 2026-27 season, featuring the best Wednesday night match, always highlighting an Italian team such as Inter, Juventus, Napoli, or Atalanta. The 2024-25 UEFA season saw an impressive 18% increase in viewership compared to Prime Video’s inaugural 2021-22 season in Italy.

The platform also revealed new details about the upcoming reality show The Traitors Italia, hosted by Alessia Marcuzzi, with participants including Andreozzi, Paola Barale, Filippo Bisciglia, Giancarlo Commare, Aurora Ramazzotti, and Yoko Yamada. This Italian adaptation of the BAFTA and Emmy-winning format is produced by Fremantle Italia for Amazon MGM Studios and will debut exclusively on Prime Video Italy with six episodes this fall.

Prime Video Italy’s original movies lineup includes the political romcom Ministry of Love, Ancora più Sexy (the second film in a franchise starring Del Bufalo), the Tuscany-based No Place To Be Single (adapted from Kingsley’s bestselling novel), and the young adult romance Love Me, Love Me, based on a popular Wattpad series with over 22 million reads.

The platform also announced the original series Italian Postcards, created by Lisa Riccardi and Damiano Bruè, and directed by Academy Award-winner Jessica Yu. The show follows a wealthy New York heiress sent to Palermo to work in her family’s real estate business without luxuries. Co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Gaumont Italia, it will premiere exclusively worldwide on Prime Video.

Viktoria Wasilewski, Country Manager of Prime Video Italy, said, “The selection of titles presented today embodies the essence of our ambitious vision for Prime Video in Italy. Our commitment spans original productions, exclusive content, live sports, and more, creating a dynamic entertainment experience.”
