Prime Video’s “Bloodaxe” Expands Cast with Six New Series Regulars in Epic Viking Drama

Prime Video’s Viking epic Bloodaxe is assembling a powerful ensemble, adding six new series regulars to its cast ahead of its highly anticipated production start in Ireland and Iceland this summer. The new additions include:

  • Karlis Arnolds Avots (January)

  • Rod Hallett (Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles De Menezes)

  • Alina Tomnikov (Donna)

  • Sisse Marie (Rebel Moon)

  • Rune Temte (Eddie the Eagle)

Additionally, Jesper Christensen (Spectre) joins in a recurring role.


Character Highlights:


As previously announced, Jessica Madsen stars as Gunnhild, Erik’s wife and “Mother of Kings,” while Levi Miller portrays Haakon the Good, his younger half-brother.


About the Series:

Created by Michael Hirst (Vikings) and his son Horatio Hirst, Bloodaxe chronicles the legendary life of Erik Bloodaxe, one of the most iconic Norse raiders. Alongside his formidable wife Gunnhild, Erik fights for control of Norway’s throne, navigating bloody betrayals, rival kings, and looming war that stretches across Scandinavia and England.
