A Christmas Affair Reunites Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr. in New Holiday Rom-Com

Fox Entertainment Studios is bringing festive cheer to romantic comedy fans with A Christmas Affair, a brand-new holiday film that reunites beloved 90s stars Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr.. More than two decades after they captured hearts in She’s All That, the iconic duo is returning to the screen together for a story filled with holiday spirit and unexpected love.
A Long-Awaited On-Screen Reunion
The project reunites not just the stars, but also Jennifer Gibgot, co-producer of She’s All That, who will produce the film. Currently in development, A Christmas Affair promises a heartwarming narrative crafted by writers Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy.
The plot follows Natalie (Cook) and Gabe (Prinze Jr.), two superstar sportscasters whose lives are thrown into chaos when their spouses are caught cheating—just weeks before Christmas. As media attention surges and emotions run high, Natalie and Gabe form an unexpected bond that evolves into something deeper. But can holiday sparks turn into lasting love?
“This iconic couple stole our hearts over 25 years ago,” said Hannah Pillemer, Head of Scripted at Fox Entertainment Studios. “We’re thrilled to bring them back together in a film full of holiday magic.”
A Nostalgic Cast with a Modern Twist
This marks the first time Cook and Prinze Jr. will appear together on screen since She’s All That, although they did reunite at the premiere of Prinze Jr.’s recent film The Girl in the Pool.
