Hollywood Mourns Charlie Kirk After Fatal Shooting at Utah Valley University

Chris Pratt, Jimmy Kimmel, and other Hollywood stars joined political leaders in reacting to the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder. Kirk, only 31, was fatally shot during a public event at Utah Valley University, sparking widespread grief and renewed calls to end political violence in America.
Authorities confirmed that a bullet struck Kirk in the neck while he addressed the issue of mass shootings. Eyewitnesses reported the shot came from a rooftop, and law enforcement later apprehended the suspected gunman, who was dressed in dark clothing.
Former President Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death on Truth Social, writing: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me.” Trump also vowed to pursue accountability for those behind this atrocity.
Former President Barack Obama also responded, calling the act “despicable violence” and urging Americans to reject hatred. He expressed prayers for Kirk’s wife Erika and their two young children.
In Hollywood, tributes poured in:
-

Arnold Schwarzenegger added: “My heart is with Charlie Kirk’s family, and with the United States. Politics has become a disease in this country, and it’s deadly. But there is a cure. It is inside of us.”
Kirk leaves behind his wife Erika Frantza and their two children. His sudden death has united voices from politics, entertainment, and ordinary Americans in mourning, while reigniting debates over gun violence and the dangerous polarization of U.S. society.
